There is never a need for tension in a living thing, the word tension means stagnation, tightness, a reduction of flexibility and flow, both in and out of the body.
Tension is trying to hold on to a situation that cannot be held on to, using the mind and body to squeeze so tight in an effort to grab onto and not let go of what you have.
This is impossible, as what you have has already gone, nothing stays forever.
All you are left with is the image created by thought, that you then trap inside the body to solidify that image.
For most of us this is a standard response to all things, to tighten and hold.
It has become complete normality to tighten to every situation as a way to control it.
There is no such thing as control and tightening does nothing but create friction and burn life force away.
If there is a need to hold tension than you have lost the reason for what you are doing, that movement and moment has passed and you are not yet accepting it.
Strength is doing what is necessary in the moment no more no less.
Tightening is grabbing, desperation, protection, to hold onto something that is no longer there.
Tension and tightness has never helped any situation, ever and is a cover for something else, for something that you are protecting and not letting go of.
If you wish to, observe when you go tight, observe it completely and openly without judgment, labeling or any desire to do anything about it.
Just watch it like a tv screen.
What is the entity that is feeling the tightening?
What is doing the feeling?
Just watch, just see, openly and completely without the words tension or tightness
Just for the curiosity of seeing
