Doing it for yourself and not others

If you do something for long enough and really uncover the joy and natural curiosity of it.

Doing it for yourself and not others.

For the true honesty of doing it.

An action that you would still do even if no one was watching.

What you will see and experience is that actually you perform the action of doing the thing like a child.

Like a child playing with toys.

There is a vulnerable innocence to discovery, something that you had but lost.

The child always knew, but in your rush to be a grown up and develop efficient tools, you mistook the tool for the experience.

You mistook the getting for the doing.

You were so busy checking out your reflection that you missed it.
